Cissie (Cis) Winstanley MBE
Born Boxing Day 1908.
Died 2006, aged 97.
Came to Napier from Runanga on the West Coast for a better climate.
Natural sports women; sprinter, tennis, basketball, golf, and after health issues and 2 big operations, found bowls. She was then in her early 40's
Worlds: won 3 golds, 1 silver 1 bronze.
Held 17 NZ titles plus 3 NZ Gold stars 1957-1978, all from Marewa Bowling Club (now known as Bowls Napier)
Won at least 150 centre & club titles
